Q: What are the entry times and location?
- A: Entry will be located on the inside of the HYATT Entrance and inside of the WEST Entrance.
- AM Waves
- Doors will open at 7AM. Once you have completed your work assignments and matches for the day, please leave the facility.
- PM Waves
- Doors will open at 2:30PM to allow AM waves to leave after their scheduled 1PM game.
Tiebreaker Procedure
- Q: What is the tiebreaker procedure?
- A: Please refer to the tiebreaking procedure flow chart (PDF) for detailed information.
Last-Day Forfeit Policy
- Q: What is the last-day forfeit policy?
- A: A penalty of up to $100 will be issued for any last-day forfeits.
Ticketing Policy
- Q: What is the ticketing policy?
- A: Tickets for parents and spectators will be on sale approximately 1-2 weeks prior to the start of the tournament.
- Coaches and Rostered Staff
- Coaches and rostered staff will receive an email with instructions on how to redeem their free QR Code the day before the event starts. Rostered staff includes anyone listed on the Officials Roster.
- Players
- Players will not need or receive a QR code, wristband, or bag tag. They will enter through Athlete Entrances.
Concession and Seating Policy
- Q: What is the concession and seating policy?
- A: No outside food, coolers, or chairs are allowed in the convention center. The Salt Palace Convention Center will be selling food in the venue and has made an effort to provide a good variety of options.
Parking Information
- Q: What is the parking situation?
- A: There is parking available in The Salt Palace Convention Center parking structures at varying rates dependent on the duration of stay.
Live Streaming
- Q: Will games be streamed?
- A: Leave the cameras and tripods at home and enjoy the action – live! We have partnered with BallerTV to provide professional live streaming for this event. They have the necessary liability insurance and expertise to set up video equipment to protect athletes and fans. Please note that any other live streaming, including the use of Facebook Live, is strictly prohibited.
Practice Opportunities
- Q: Are there practice opportunities?
- A: On Thursday, February 8th, teams will have the opportunity to practice between 5-8PM local time.
- Courts
- Courts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for a total of one hour.
Balls and Carts
- Q: Can we bring our own balls and carts?
- A: With 20 courts, we will be providing balls and carts for each court prior to the wave beginnings for teams to use during warm-ups. We kindly request that you do not bring your own balls and carts to the gym, as we need to keep track of our USAV equipment.
Luggage Storage
- Q: Is there luggage storage?
- A: There will not be an area designated for luggage storage at the convention center. Please make arrangements with your hotel for any storage needs.
