2023 USA Volleyball Beach Tour- Puget Sound – Pacific Northwest Late Summer National Qualifier

The USA Volleyball Beach Tour is back with the highly anticipated Puget Sound – Pacific Northwest Late Summer National Qualifier in 2023. This exciting event will take place at the NW Jrs Beach Club in Snohomish, Washington. Participants from various age divisions will compete in thrilling matches, showcasing their skills and passion for the sport.

Schedule and Age Divisions

The tournament will be held on Saturday, August 6, and Sunday, August 7, with different age divisions participating on each day. On Saturday, boys and girls in the 12U and 16U age groups will take the stage. On Sunday, it will be the turn of the 14U and 18U divisions. Check-in time for all participants is at 8:00 am, and the games will commence at 9:00 am.

Logistics and Contact Information

All teams will check in at the NW Jrs Beach Club, where a player/coach/parent meeting will take place at 8:30 am. After the meeting, teams will be released to their respective court locations. Registration Details

Teams can register for the event by clicking the registration link provided. Early registration until August 2, 2022, is priced at $128.00 per team. Late registration between August 3, 2022, and 5 pm PST on August 5, 2022, is available at $148.61 per team. Please note that a $20 administrative fee will be deducted in case of a refund. No refunds will be issued on or after August 3, 2022.

Additional Information

Teams are encouraged to register on the waitlist if a division is already full, as there is a possibility of expanding to courts at Willis Tucker Park (WTP) to accommodate more participants.

Competing in multiple age divisions is also an option for teams. However, if you choose to play up, the team must consist of the same athletes. In case you decide to change partners to play up, a separate registration for the second team is required.

Coaches must register by noon PST on August 3, 2022, to be allowed to coach on the sand during the weekend. Check-in for coaches will be at NW Jrs Beach Club at 8:00 am each day, where they will receive a wristband. Coaches without a wristband will not be permitted to coach their teams.

Accommodations

For out-of-town participants, there are several accommodation options available. The Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Everett, the La Quinta Inn also in Everett, the Holiday Inn Tacoma Mall in Tacoma, and the Hampton Inn & Suites Tacoma-Mall are some of the recommended places to stay during the tournament.

Age Divisions and Dress Code

The age divisions for the tournament are as follows:

  • 12 and Under Division: Players born on or after July 1, 2010
  • 14 and Under Division: Players born on or after July 1, 2008
  • 16 and Under Division: Players born on or after July 1, 2006
  • 18 and Under Division: Players born on or after July 1, 2004 OR players born on or after July 1, 2003, who are high school students in the twelfth grade or below during the current academic year

While uniforms are not mandatory, they are encouraged. All athletes must wear a top that covers the midsection when standing and appropriate bottoms such as spandex, shorts, or leggings. Bikinis are not permitted. For boys, a tank top or t-shirt that covers the midsection when standing and suitable bottoms like board shorts or athletic shorts are required. Brief-type swim trunks are not allowed.
