USAV CONTINUES TO PROCESS INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
USA Volleyball has processed a significant number of international transfer certificates, allowing United States citizens to compete in foreign professional volleyball leagues for the 2016-17 season. As of November 22, a total of 317 transfers (224 females, 93 males) have been processed. These athletes have transferred to play in 32 different countries, with Germany attracting the most players at 48, followed by England with 23, and Sweden and the Philippines with 13 each.

Lloyd and Gibbemeyer with Italy’s Casalmaggiore
Carli Lloyd and Lauren Gibbemeyer, both members of the 2016 Olympic bronze medal-winning Team USA, have returned to Italy to compete for Pomi Casalmaggiore in the Italian Serie A1 league and the CEV Cup.
