One of the most esteemed honors in the volleyball community, the Harold T. Friermood “Frier” Award, will be presented to the legendary coach, Dr. Marv Dunphy, in recognition of his significant contributions to the sport. Dunphy’s coaching tenure with the U.S. Men’s National Team from 1985 to 1988 resulted in remarkable achievements, including gold medals at the 1985 World Cup, the 1986 World Championship, the 1987 Pan American Games, and the 1988 Olympic Games.
