MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (June 29, 2017) – TAV 15 Black emerged victorious in the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships 15 Open Division, capping off an exciting competition at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The GJNC will continue until July 4.
TAV 15 Black Dominates the 15 Open Division
TAV 15 Black from North Texas showcased their skills and determination in the 15 Open Division. Despite a shaky start with an initial loss to Laguna Beach 15MS from Southern California during pool play, TAV 15 Black went on a remarkable 10-match winning streak. In an exhilarating gold-medal match, TAV 15 Black defeated ASICS MAVS 15-1 from the Heart of America region with a commanding 25-19, 25-13 victory. This victory was made even more special as it marked the first national championship title for TAV 15 Black Head Coach Louis Sariego.
