U.S. Men’s Sitting Team Qualifies for Paralympic Qualifier

The U.S. Men’s Sitting Team is making their way to the Tokyo 2020 Men’s Final Paralympic Qualification Tournament in Duisburg, Germany. After several postponements and venue changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team is thrilled to have the opportunity to compete for a spot in the Tokyo Paralympic Games.

Journey to Qualification

The tournament will take place from June 1-5, with the U.S. Men’s Sitting Team starting their play on June 2. The winning team will secure their place in the Tokyo Paralympic Games, scheduled to be held from August 24 to September 5, 2021.

Originally planned for 2020 on the team’s home court at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, the qualifier faced multiple challenges before finding its new home in Duisburg.
