BNT Concludes Play at Ostrava Elite 16

Four pairs from the U.S. Beach National Team recently wrapped up their participation in the Beach Pro Tour’s Ostrava Elite 16 tournament in Ostrava, Czech Republic.

A Close Battle for Bourne/Crabb

Two U.S. teams faced crucial matches during the final round of pool play. Tri Bourne and Trevor Crabb had an intense showdown against Tokyo 2020 Olympic bronze medalists, Cherif Younousee and Ahmed Tijan. The match was neck and neck, with both teams vying for victory. However, they faced a tough challenge in their first two pool matches against reigning world champions Sarah Pavan and Melissa Humana-Paredes of Canada, resulting in two losses. In pool play, they faced off against two Olympic semifinalists, Taliqua Clancy and Mariafe Artacho del Solar of Australia, as well as Tina Graudina and Anastasija Kravcenoka of Latvia, who finished in fourth place at the Tokyo Olympics. Cannon and Sponcil pushed both matches to three sets but ultimately fell short. Despite their losses, their determination and resilience were evident throughout the tournament.
