USAV Launches NTDP Academy for Athletes, Parents, and Coaches

USA Volleyball is excited to introduce the NTDP Academy as part of their National Team Development Program (NTDP). This subscription-based curriculum offers a wealth of resources for athletes, parents, and coaches, including video-based presentations and exclusive content from a lineup of expert instructors. These instructors include U.S. National Team athletes and coaches, as well as professionals in sports performance, medicine, and psychology.

The NTDP Academy features renowned Olympic and Paralympic athletes and medalists, such as Haleigh Washington, Kelsey Robinson, April Ross, Danielle Scott, Tayyiba Haneef-Park, Erik Shoji, David Smith, Katie Holloway, Nicky Nieves, and Sydney Satchell. These incredible athletes and professionals will provide valuable insights and guidance to help athletes develop their skills in volleyball.

The program is designed around the core developmental philosophy of the NTDP, focusing on five pillars: Craft, Body, Mind, Heart, and Team. Within each pillar, young athletes will have access to high-level instruction on volleyball skills and systems. They will also have the opportunity to improve their mental toughness, emotional well-being, strength and conditioning, and nutrition through additional content.

The NTDP Academy covers various technical topics and areas of expertise, including mindset and learning. U.S. National Team coaches, such as Karch Kiraly, Erin Virtue, Tama Miyashiro, Mike Wall, Matt Fuerbringer, Nate Ngo, Tyler Hildebrand, Patty Dodd, and Jordan Cheng, present these topics and share their knowledge and experiences.

“We are thrilled to introduce the National Team Development Program Academy,” said U.S. Women’s National Team Assistant Coach Erin Virtue. “This is an incredible opportunity for athletes and coaches to enhance their learning by hearing from our National Team athletes and staff. Our goal within the NTDP is to educate the complete athlete, and the academy allows athletes to choose their own adventure and work on all aspects of their game. We would like to express our gratitude to all those who have contributed to this Academy, including recent gold medalists from our U.S. Women’s Beach and Indoor National Teams.”

The NTDP Academy can be accessed through the USAV Academy learning management system. Subscriptions are available for $135 for USA Volleyball members and $150 for non-members, valid for one full membership year. Subscribers will have ongoing access to new content and can work through the coursework at their own pace.
