With a change in tournament dates, the training team roster has been adjusted to ensure the best lineup for success. Let’s take a closer look at the new players joining the team and their preparations for the competition.

Building a Strong Team

The Men’s U21 Pan American Cup, taking place in La Habana, Cuba from October 3rd to 8th, is a significant event for young volleyball players. The training team, consisting of 21 talented individuals, will come together from September 21st to 30th at the National Team Training Center in Anaheim, California. During this intensive period, the coaches will assess the players’ skills and make the final selection of twelve athletes who will represent the U.S. in Cuba.

Familiar Faces and Newcomers

Among the training team members, some players have already proven their capabilities at international events. Nyherowo Omene and Kellen Larson have previously represented the United States in other competitions. Omene played with the U.S. Men’s Team at the Pan American Cup and the Pan American Cup Final Six, winning bronze medals at both events. Larson, on the other hand, played for the United States at the Boys U19 Pan American Cup, securing a gold medal for the team.
