Stand Back Argentina; Lee to Play for UPCN

David Lee, a three-time Olympian in men’s volleyball, has announced that he will play for UPCN San Juan Voley in Argentina this winter and spring. Lee, who has previously won gold in 2008 and bronze in 2016, made the announcement in an Instagram post where he humorously stated, “it ain’t over till my knee explodes.”

Lee did not play for the U.S. Men’s Team in 2017 but did participate in the inaugural tournament of the National Volleyball Association with the winning Blizzard team.

FIVB World Championship

The FIVB has recently released the schedule for the first round of the 2018 World Championship, which will take place in Bulgaria and Italy from September 9-30. The U.S. Men’s Team, currently ranked No. 2 in the world, will play their opening round in Bari, Italy, and will face Serbia on September 12. The top four teams from the first round will advance to the second round.
