Beach U19 National Team Selected

USA Volleyball is thrilled to announce the Beach U19 National Team, which was determined at the U19 FIVB World Championship Trials held from June 22-24 in Huntington Beach, Calif.

Adam Hartmann and Dylan Zacca emerged as the champions in the boys division, securing their spot at the U19 Beach World Championship taking place this September. In a thrilling three-set match (21-10, 19-21, 15-9), the Floridians defeated Caleb Kwekel and Gage Basey, who had previously been undefeated in the tournament, to claim the gold, while Kwekel and Basey settled for silver.

Dylan Foreman and Thomas Hurst teamed up to win the bronze medal, defeating Benjamin Hutka and Jacob Reilly in straight sets.

On the girls’ side, Xolani Hodel and Kate Reilly prevailed in a closely contested finale, winning 2-0 (23-21, 21-19) against Delaynie Maple and Megan Kraft. Hodel, hailing from Huntington Beach, and Reilly, from Manhattan Beach, secured their spot in the U19 Beach World Championship. Maple and Kraft, both from San Diego, earned a silver medal.

Chloe Hooker from San Diego and Isabella Martinez from Winnetka, Calif., joined forces to claim the bronze medal.

Currently, the United States has secured one boys’ berth and one girls’ berth to the U19 Beach World Championship, held in Roi Et, Thailand from September 15-19. In the event that the United States earns a second berth in either gender, the silver medalist team will be awarded that spot, while the bronze medalist teams will serve as alternates.
