Jamie Davis Hired as USAV’s Next CEO

Colorado Springs, Colo. – USA Volleyball has appointed Jamie Davis as the new chief executive officer of the sport’s national governing body, effective immediately.

Davis brings a wealth of experience in sports media, marketing, and business to his new role. He is the first CEO of USA Volleyball to come from outside the existing lay leadership, marking an exciting new era for the organization.

“We are thrilled to have Jamie Davis lead USA Volleyball into new areas of business that will strengthen our Regional Volleyball Associations, support our national teams, and grow the sport’s popularity in the United States,” said Lori Okimura, Chair of USA Volleyball’s Board of Directors.

With a background in sports media, e-commerce, and technology, Davis is well-equipped to lead USA Volleyball into the digital age. He has previously held executive positions at Fanatics, Inc., Versus (now NBC Sports Network), and ESPN STAR Sports. Davis also founded his own company, Jomandrew Sports and Entertainment, LLC.

While Davis may not have a background in volleyball, his expertise in sports media and marketing for over 25 years makes him an exceptional choice for this role. The search for a new CEO was conducted by USA Volleyball’s Board of Directors, with the assistance of an executive search firm. The selection process included representatives from various constituent groups, sponsors, and athletes.

As USA Volleyball looks ahead to the Tokyo Olympics and beyond, Davis’s appointment will contribute to the organization’s strategic priorities, including finding new revenue streams, creating events and programs to support their national team pipeline, and expanding membership through the Regional Volleyball Associations.
