Looking Ahead: 2025 GJNC (11-13) Will Roll into Kansas City

USA Volleyball has chosen Kansas City, Missouri, as the host city for the 2025 Girls Junior National Championship for the 11-13 age divisions. The tournament will take place on June 21-24 at the Kansas City Convention & Entertainment Center.

In an effort to provide more competitive opportunities for athletes and clubs, USA Volleyball announced earlier this year that they will be splitting the Girls Junior National Championship beginning in 2023, with one tournament for the 11-13 age divisions and another for the 14-17 age divisions. This change also allows for an increase in the number of venues that can host the tournaments.

This isn’t the first time that Kansas City has served as a host city for a volleyball championship. They have previously hosted the Boys Junior National Championship and are also the annual hosts of the USA Volleyball Show Me Qualifier.

“We are thrilled that Kansas City will host our Girls Junior National Championship (11-13) in 2025,” said USA Volleyball President and CEO Jamie Davis. “Kansas City has successfully hosted many of our past championships and the athletes, coaches, families, and friends always have a fantastic time. I am sure this event will be no different. Thank you to Visit KC for their tremendous and ongoing support.”

Kansas City is equally excited to welcome USA Volleyball for the Girls Junior National Championship (11-13) in 2025. Visit KC President & CEO Kathy Nelson expressed their honor and gratitude, mentioning the long and successful partnership between USA Volleyball and Visit KC. With recent developments such as the new single terminal at Kansas City International Airport, the free and expanding KC Streetcar, $45 million in modernization efforts at the Kansas City Convention Center, and new hotels, they are committed to providing athletes and attendees with a top-tier experience.

At the GJNC (11-13s), teams will compete in 10 divisions: 11 National, 12 National, USA, and American, and 13 Open, National, USA, Liberty, American, and Patriot.
