Men’s Update: Field Set for 2018 Worlds

Cuba and Puerto Rico have secured the final two NORCECA slots for the men’s 2018 FIVB World Championship. They emerged victorious at a four-team qualifying tournament held in Cuba from November 10-12. The weather hindered their participation in the NORCECA Championship in September in Colorado Springs. The U.S. Men’s National Team had won the tournament, ensuring their spot in the World Championship along with Canada and the Dominican Republic.

In the final match in Cuba, Cuba defeated Puerto Rico with a score of 25-21, 25-22, 30-28. Mexico finished in third place, followed by Guatemala in fourth. With this, all 24 teams for the 2018 World Championship in Italy and Bulgaria have been determined.
