HERMOSA BEACH, Calif. (May 7, 2018) – The Bridgestone USA Volleyball Collegiate Beach Championships is back in action, featuring top collegiate beach volleyball pairs. Taking place from May 10-12 in Hermosa Beach, this event is part of the 2018 Team USA Summer Champions Series presented by Xfinity.
Exciting Competition for Women and Men
This year, the dual-gendered pairs event includes a 30-team women’s bracket and an eight-team men’s competition. The intense matches will be broadcasted on NBCSN from 4-6 p.m. ET on May 12. The previously scheduled qualifier on May 9 has unfortunately been cancelled.

The participating women’s teams represent prestigious universities such as Florida State, Cal Poly, Cal, Long Beach State, Florida Atlantic, Georgia State, Grand Canyon, and many more. While the men’s pairs come from Florida State, Hawaii, Penn State, Pepperdine, and other esteemed universities.
Schedule and Format
The action kicks off on Thursday morning with pool play, followed by the men’s semifinals on Friday. The women’s semifinals and medal matches will take place on Saturday. The event is open to the public, free of charge, and volunteers are needed.
