U.S. Men Have New Lineup for VNL Week 2

The U.S. Men’s Volleyball team has kicked off the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Nations League with an impressive 3-0 record. However, they achieved this without their usual starters, including Matt Anderson, Micah Christenson, and Aaron Russell.

But there’s good news. These three key players will be back for the next three matches on June 1-3 in Goiânia, Brazil. The U.S. Men will face Japan, Korea, and Brazil during this period.

Unfortunately, they will be without Taylor Sander, who will return to the United States for personal reasons. Sander has been one of the league’s top scorers after the first weekend.

To make room for the returning starters, Jonah Seif and Kyle Ensing will also return to the United States. Despite their perfect record, the U.S. Men currently hold fourth place in the league due to their match against Argentina going into five sets.

Brazil is right behind them in fifth place, with Italy, France, and Poland leading the league standings. Brazil’s opposite, Wallace de Souza, has been leading their scoring efforts.

Japan is currently in seventh place, with wins over Australia and Iran, and a loss to France. Japan’s offense is led by Yuji Nishida.

Korea, on the other hand, has had a tough start with 3-0 losses to Poland, Canada, and Russia. Outside hitter Jae-Duck Seo has been their leading scorer.

It’s worth mentioning that Flovolleyball.tv has been chosen by the FIVB to live stream the matches in the United States.
