Success on the Grand Prix Stage

Team USA has an impressive track record in the FIVB World Grand Prix, having won the tournament six times. They have secured victory in four of the last six events, including their triumph last year in Omaha, Nebraska, where they hosted the competition for the first time on U.S. soil. The team’s recent dominance extends to their performances in other tournaments as well, winning six out of their last seven competitions, including the 2014 FIVB World Championship.

Additional Athlete Updates

In addition to the 22-player preliminary roster, several other U.S. Women’s National Team athletes are training or rehabbing in Anaheim, the host city for both the women’s and men’s national teams. These athletes include outside hitter Michelle Bartsch, middle blocker Tori Dixon, and libero Tama Miyashiro.

Looking Ahead

Team USA will also compete in the Pan American Cup, set to be held in the Dominican Republic from June 30 to July 11. As this event overlaps with the World Grand Prix, University of Pittsburgh Head Coach Dan Fisher has been appointed to lead the Pan American Cup squad.
