USA Volleyball Announces Rebranded Beach Tour for Junior Athletes

USA Volleyball is thrilled to announce the launch of the rebranded USA Volleyball Beach Tour, aimed at increasing participation in beach volleyball across the country. With an updated logo and a fresh look, this revamped tour builds upon the tremendous momentum generated by millions of viewers watching the U.S. Beach National Teams at the Tokyo Olympics.

Beach volleyball has experienced significant growth in the last five years, making it an exciting time to introduce the USA Volleyball Beach Tour brand and expand opportunities for young athletes to get involved in the sport, according to USA Volleyball President and CEO Jamie Davis.

The growth of beach volleyball is evident in both the collegiate and junior levels. Currently, more than 90 colleges across all divisions offer the discipline, and over the past five years, it has been the fastest-growing NCAA Division I sport.

Previously known as the USA National Beach Tour, the USA Volleyball Beach Tour has rebranded and now comprises over 30 national qualifying events held nationwide. The tour operates under the same guidelines, with clubs and regions hosting beach national qualifiers and regional qualifiers. Through this system, athletes can earn the opportunity to compete at the highly sought-after USA Volleyball Beach National Championship, which takes place every summer. At the National Qualifiers, top finishers have the chance to secure bids to the prestigious Open Division, while American Division bids are available at Regional Qualifiers.

“This beach tour rebrand will help strengthen its brand affiliation with USA Volleyball and the 40 regions of USAV,” said Steve Bishop, Florida Region Commissioner and Beach Development Representative to the USAV Board of Directors. “We’ve witnessed ongoing growth in the beach space across the U.S. as more playing opportunities are created annually for our members. We acknowledge and commend our USAV promoters who host the regional and national qualifiers in communities throughout the regions. Our collective goal and mandate are to prioritize athlete safety while creating the most competitive events in the U.S. I eagerly look forward to the future of the USA Volleyball Beach Tour.”
