USAV Reintroduces Foundation Board of Directors

The USA Volleyball (USAV) Foundation is proud to announce the reconstitution of its Board of Directors, with a renewed focus on creating opportunities and fostering support for players from all backgrounds. The Foundation aims to increase accessibility to the sport while building stronger connections with national team alumni and cultivating a donor network for USAV.

Led by Chairman Mark Peterson, Partner at O’Melveny, an international law firm, the newly-formed Board boasts a diverse group of individuals, including former professional athletes, Olympians, executives, and leaders from both the business and volleyball communities. The addition of members of different genders and races enhances the Board’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The Foundation’s objectives are centered around promoting access to volleyball and nurturing talent, regardless of economic circumstances. Through collaboration with experienced board members, USAV aims to strengthen its leadership in the sport while striving for greater diversity.

“I am excited to give back to a sport that has been instrumental in my career,” says Kim McHugh, Vice President of Drilling and Completions for Chevron, and a former college volleyball player. “Volleyball taught me the value of teamwork and leadership, and I believe it is crucial to provide opportunities for those who may not otherwise have the chance to play. The Foundation’s focus on diversity is of utmost importance.”
