Lincoln to Host U.S. Women, Volleyball Nations League

The U.S. Women’s National Volleyball Team is gearing up for an exciting event in 2018 as they return to Lincoln, Nebraska to host a four-team round-robin pod in the opening week of the new FIVB Volleyball Nations League (VNL). This highly anticipated tournament will feature Team USA, ranked No. 2 in the world, along with Italy, Turkey, and Poland.

The FIVB Volleyball Nations League (VNL) is a 16-country league that replaces the FIVB World Grand Prix starting in 2018. The athletes are looking forward to returning to Lincoln and playing in front of the passionate fans once again.

The U.S. Women finished the 2017 season with an impressive 18-8 record and a bronze medal at the FIVB World Grand Champions Cup. Italy, the 2017 FIVB World Grand Prix runner-up, will also be competing, along with Turkey and Poland. Poland, as one of the four challenger teams in this year’s VNL, won the second tier of the World Grand Prix in 2017.
