Badger Region Hosts First Regional Instructor Training Summit

The Badger Region of USA Volleyball recently organized the first-ever Regional Instructor Training Summit in Wisconsin, showcasing their commitment to collaboration and advancement in the sport. The event, held on August 10-11, was attended by sixteen coaches, USA Volleyball National Faculty members, volunteers, and regional staff from four regions – Badger, North Country, Iowa, and Great Lakes.

Jennifer Armson-Dyer, Executive Director and Commissioner of Badger Region, expressed her pride in hosting this groundbreaking summit. She emphasized the value of bringing together coaching minds from different regions to collectively enhance their own skills and benefit all members. Armson-Dyer looks forward to witnessing the impact of this event not only in their region but across the entire country.

The Regional Instructor Training Summit is a pilot program sponsored by USA Volleyball’s Education Services Department. The program focuses on understanding the five pillars of the USA Volleyball Development Model, accessing lesson plan templates, and delivering effective Coach Academy live sessions tailored to local coaches’ needs.

This initiative represents a significant step in the evolution of USA Volleyball’s Education Services. With the introduction of Coach Academy and Coach Observation Sessions, coaches at the club level now have greater access to training from national-level experts and educators.
