Current, Future National Team Members on Stage

The U.S. Women’s National Team will be hosting its open tryouts this weekend at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. This event not only provides an opportunity for athletes to compete for spots on the national team but also for collegiate players to earn berths to the U.S. Collegiate National Team program.

National Team Open Tryout

The U.S. Women’s National Team Open Tryout is set to take place from March 1-3 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center. Over 200 athletes from colleges across the country will compete for spots on the national team and the U.S. Collegiate National Team program. Selected athletes may begin their training in Anaheim, California, in the spring of 2019.

European Champions League This Week

Six teams with members of the U.S. Women’s National Team will be competing in the European Champions League. The matches include:

  • VakifBank (Kelsey Robinson) vs. Beziers
  • Allianz MTV Stuttgart (Sarah Wilhite Parsons, Paige Tapp, Molly McCage) vs. Maritza Plovdiv
  • Eczacibasi (Jordan Larson, Lauren Gibbemeyer) vs. Dinamo Kazan
  • Igor Gorgonzola Novara (Michelle Bartsch-Hackley, Lauren Carlini) vs. RC Cannes
  • Imoco Volley Conegliano (Kim Hill, Karsta Lowe) vs. LKS Commercecon

Robinson with VakifBank in Turkish League

Kelsey Robinson is currently playing for VakifBank in the Turkish professional league. In a recent European Champions League match, VakifBank swept second-place Allianz MTV Stuttgart. Robinson contributed 12 points in the victory. In the Turkish League, VakifBank ended Eczacibasi’s 18-match domestic league win streak. Larson and Gibbemeyer with Eczacibasi in Turkish League

Jordan Larson and Lauren Gibbemeyer are competing for Eczacibasi in the Turkish League. In the European Champions League, Eczacibasi secured the top spot in Pool B with a victory over Uralochka-NTMK Ekaterinburg. Larson and Gibbemeyer played key roles in the win. However, their winning streak was snapped by VakifBank in a domestic league match. Larson and Gibbemeyer continue to be strong contributors to the team’s success.

Adams and Hancock with Team Monza in Italian League

Rachael Adams and Micha Hancock are playing for Saugella Team Monza in the Italian Serie A1. Team Monza recently defeated Igor Gorgonzola Novara, moving up in the standings. Hancock had an impressive performance, setting the team to a high kill percentage. Adams also made valuable contributions. Team Monza is set to face Pomi Casalmaggiore in their next league match.
