The Road to the Roster

The selection process for the U.S. Girls’ Youth National Team was rigorous. The final 12 players were chosen from the U.S. Girls’ Youth National Training Team (GYNTT), which consisted of 20 players. These athletes trained at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs for 13 days, undergoing intense sessions to assess their skills and teamwork. The training block was not only about selecting the top 12 players but also about implementing a cohesive system for the team’s future endeavors.

The Journey Continues

The U.S. Girls’ Youth National Team has a remarkable track record in the NORCECA Girls U18 Continental Championship, having emerged as champions seven out of the ten times the event has taken place. However, they finished second in the last two editions, narrowly missing out on gold. This year, they are determined to reclaim their place at the top and showcase their exceptional talent on the international stage.
