Women’s Junior National Team Roster Named

USA Volleyball has recently announced the roster for the U.S. Women’s Junior National Team, which is set to compete in the upcoming 2018 NORCECA Women’s U20 Continental Championship in Mexico from June 18th to 23rd. Technical coordinator Jon Wong, assistant coach at Bradley University, will also play a crucial role in the team’s success. Adding to the wealth of knowledge and experience is the team leader, Tayyiba Haneef-Park, a three-time Olympian and two-time Olympic silver medalist for the United States.

Aiming for Success in Mexico

The U.S. Women’s Junior National Team will undergo training from June 8th to 15th in Colorado Springs before heading to Aguascalientes, Mexico, for the 12-country NORCECA Championship. The winner of this championship automatically qualifies for the 2019 FIVB Women’s U20 World Championship. The team is placed in Group A and will face Puerto Rico, Cuba, and Guatemala in the preliminary rounds.
