From 1996 to 2008, he held the position of Evergreen Region commissioner, where he introduced and updated the Regional Due Process procedure, which has become a template for several other regions.

He played a vital role on the USA Volleyball Board of Directors from 2000 to 2014, serving as the vice president of the Regional Operations Division. Additionally, Lee spearheaded the Event Arbitrator program as its current chair. Today, he continues to chair both corporate and ERVA ethics and eligibility committees.
